Behind the Link & 100 Happy Days [Week #20]

Thursdays around here are all about finding your happy. Or, in other words, being thankful!

I believe being thankful spurs happiness & that we should be praising God daily for the many gifts He lavishes on us.

So, this week, I am thankful for the gift of…

A new puppy who is adorable and oh so cuddly.

Time to work on future blog posts.

A hubby who celebrated a birthday yesterday.

And time to spend in the Word each morning.

What are you thankful for this week? Share with me in the comments!

Now on to the 100 Happy Days Link Up!Β

Behind the Link #2

Every few weeks, the 100 Happy Days ladies will choose a blogger who regularly links up to be featured in a special ‘Behind the Link‘ snippet! We will share the blog, a short Q&A with the blogger, and his or her social media links. We invite you to get to know some of your linkup buddies & to show some love by dropping in for a visit!

Our second Behind the Link feature is Cow Country Housewife, a blog written by Caroline! Check out this short Q&A about her blog.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging to find community and to share my experiences. Motherhood can be very isolating at times, so while I’m at home all day, I figured that I might as well meet other moms who are in the same boat! From there, my blog morphed into sharing how my husband and I have been able to save money and thrive on a low income. Plus, it’s been a lot of fun!

What is the meaning of the name of your blog?

It actually started out as a joke between my college roommate and I. We were from Philadelphia and came out to the rural suburbs to attend college. We affectionately called it “cow country,” compared to where we were from. Now I’ve lived here for almost seven years and I still tell people from back home that I live in “cow country.”

If you could sum up the purpose of your blog in one sentence, what would it be?

Become part of a community while sharing life lessons from motherhood to saving money.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of blogging?

For now, my hobbies include taking care of my family and trying out things I’ve seen on Pinterest! I’ve got a minor Pinterest addiction and almost everything on Pinterest makes me think “that looks so easy! I bet even I could do it!” And, of course, it winds up being a disaster. But at least I tried, right?

What top five words would you use to describe yourself?

Determined, loving, goofy, mild-perfectionist, passionate.

Thanks, Caroline, for sharing your blog with us! We’ve loved taking a look Behind the Link! You can also follow Cow Country Housewife on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

  1. I have been working so hard on blogging and writing projects since the holidays. Well, yesterday….I took the day off to read a novel and get a massage. It was INCREDIBLE. I am happy to get back to the grind today, but so refreshed…

    1. Oh, how fun! What a great way to rejuvenate and gain some energy for the next projects! Now you have me looking for discounted massages… πŸ˜‰ Thanks for commenting, friend.
